But there are times when it comes pretty close, and I still maintain that "The Dinner Party" was some kind of masterpiece.Evan Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17263250766060234515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9469928.post-63886209261318996852008-09-20T17:28:00.000-07:002008-09-20T17:28:00.000-07:00Chris,Haven't tried yet but I'll add it this weeke...Chris,

Haven't tried yet but I'll add it this weekend.

And another great office moment from Stanley about Pam's postponed wedding:

"I bought a toaster for the wedding. They gave the toaster back to me after the wedding was cancelled. I tried to return the toaster but they wouldn't take it back. My house now has two toasters".

All said with Stanley's usual aggravated demeanor. I love this show more and more every episode.Joe Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10160822944514723178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9469928.post-52014047991706618312008-09-20T15:49:00.000-07:002008-09-20T15:49:00.000-07:00It's funny that you wrote about this because I jus...It's funny that you wrote about this because I just finished Season 4. My favorite Office moment (so many to choose from), is the "Bat" episode. Jim starts saying that the sunlight hurts him, and that he is feeling extraordinarily strong. Of course Dwight is convinced that a bat that was nesting in the office ceiling has bitten Jim. Dwight says (paraphrasing), "It would make sense that the vampire bat would be here. He went from one 'sylvania' to another (PA)". Brilliant show. Does anyone else feel that Season 4 drops off slightly?

Also, Joe, did you figure out how to get the blogtalkradio segment on your blog?Chris Gaubatzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572622425855864371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9469928.post-50044714270998347082008-09-20T14:31:00.000-07:002008-09-20T14:31:00.000-07:00First up, I'd admit that I thought the idea to rem...First up, I'd admit that I thought the idea to remake, what I believed to be quintessentially British and one of our greatest modern comedies, in America was a terrible idea.

I even shunned the American Office when it originally aired over here. I just thought it was going to be awful from day one.

God was I ever wrong. It's genius. I can't get enough of it and I'm with you; and Elgringo I use that very same quote, Stanley is just fantastic.

That'll teach me to judge anything before I watch it. To be totally honest, I love it more for the fact that it's taken the concept of the original and made something fresh and new.

As for Arrested Development. Give us a movie already.Ric Burkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17380112108360267457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9469928.post-88475100485010583382008-09-20T12:09:00.000-07:002008-09-20T12:09:00.000-07:00Moviezzz,I wondered if they were in syndication ye...Moviezzz,

I wondered if they were in syndication yet. I've seen episodes 5 or 6 times, and it gets funnier each time you see it.TALKING MOVIEzzzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11621046844665110326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9469928.post-78282943060368819312008-09-20T10:27:00.000-07:002008-09-20T10:27:00.000-07:00Adam, ah the greatness of "Arrested Development". ...Adam, ah the greatness of "Arrested Development". You can now officially join the club of "please make that Arrested Development movie" without feeling ashamed.

Gringo, one of my favs as well. That and the way he responds to Micahel's comment of "those crosswords won't make you more intelligent" with "yea and I don't care."
